This denim jacket is based on the LEVI'S wartime model, with the number of buttons, pocket shape, rivet placement, and stitching color all adjusted to the original. The length has been slightly extended to make it comfortable to wear without being too short. The original design had a shallow shoulder slope, which caused wrinkles to accumulate from the shoulder to the armhole, but by lowering the shoulder slope and slightly raising the sleeve cap, the silhouette has been improved. Original tuck buttons are used.
The fabric is a 13oz red selvedge indigo denim with a tight weave, recreating the threading of the 501XX from the late 50's to early 60's. The fabric has a beautiful vertical fading pattern, giving it a vintage feel. The vintage-inspired texture is like an art piece, resulting in a stunning finish.
