1st TYPE DENIM JACKET

This denim jacket is based on the 40's 506XXE, commonly known as "T-back." The length has been slightly extended to make it easier to wear without being too short. The original design had a shallow shoulder slope, which caused wrinkles to accumulate from the shoulder to the armhole, but the shoulder slope has been lowered and the sleeve cap slightly higher to improve the silhouette. It also features original tuck buttons.

The fabric is a 13oz red-selvedge indigo denim with a tight weave, recreating the threads used in the 501XX from the late 50's to early 60's. The material has a beautiful vertical fading pattern and a vintage feel. To recreate the vintage look, the uneven coloring is faithfully reproduced through a process that can only be achieved by hand, faithfully recreating the tasteful aging effect.
