[CHRISTO] (Hokusai Print Sleeping Shirt)
This sleeping shirt is made from a fine-count broadcloth that is smooth to the touch and light in texture, printed with an original "Hokusai Manga pattern." It references military sleeping shirts from the 1940s and 1950s, and has been updated with a linear, relaxed pattern. The pattern is inspired by the previous season's "Da Vinci pattern," and incorporates zodiac motifs that symbolize the "cycle of time," as well as auspicious images of Ebisu and Daikokuten, the god of wealth, that celebrate new beginnings. This artwork combines the playfulness and spirituality of the Edo period with craftsmanship.
