Based on a 1930s American-made leather jacket found in New York. It incorporates a beautiful silhouette that evokes the remnants of an era when people still rode horses, such as the forward-leaning sleeves and armholes. The horsehide is pit-tanned vegetable-tanned leather. Pit-tanning is a tanning method where leather is steeped for a long time in vats containing vegetable resin tannins. This process alone takes about one month, making it one of the time-consuming and labor-intensive manufacturing methods, and only a few companies in Japan perform it. Since brown-core horsehide is used, as it is worn, the leather color will fade to brown, allowing you to enjoy the unique aging process. Original parts such as a fan-shaped zipper with Art Deco engravings and bakelite buttons are used.
