The Fuji jacket is tailored using Kurume Kasuri, considered one of Japan's three great kasuri textiles. The pattern is linear, inspired by 1950s work shirts and kimonos. Two types of patterns are used: "Kodai Kasuri," which expresses intricate designs, and "N-pattern Kasuri," which features the brand's symbolic "N" motif. The N-pattern Kasuri uses a balanced arrangement of white and indigo kasuri threads, known as "Bunjin Kasuri," with the "N" emerging as a unique pattern through the displacement of the pattern by the artisan's hand. The shape of the back yoke is inspired by a scene of Mt. Fuji floating on a lake, embodying a wish for good fortune. This is a special piece that reconstructs tradition and craftsmanship with a modern sensibility.
