VINTAGE FRENCH ARMY HBT M-47 PANTS

Based on 50's French Military M-47 pants. This wide silhouette features more room in the hips, thighs, and knees than the original, with a gentle taper towards the hem. The side cargo pockets have been slightly enlarged. The material used is herringbone, woven with a twisted super-long staple slub yarn for the warp and alternating strong and weak slub yarns for the weft. This replicates the natural unevenness of vintage fabrics, which resulted from the low spinning technology of the time. The SAGE color is pigment-dyed in the fabric. The subtle unevenness of dirt and fade is reproduced by hand by artisans.
