The Mechanic Pants are characterized by a work pant design with more pockets than the classic U.S. military baker pants. The silhouette is slightly culotte-shaped, with a voluminous thigh created by adjusting the tucks and a cinched hem. The outer material uses organic strong-twisted yarn for both warp and weft, in a French serge gabardine weave. The use of strong-twisted yarn gives the fabric a unique texture that feels cool against the skin.
