N.JETT (Printed Canvas Short Blouson)
A short blouson made from thick linen canvas with a vintage denim print. The design references US trucker jackets from the 1950s-1960s, incorporating British rider's jacket and tailoring techniques into the sleeve articulation and structure, rebuilding it into a new structure where US and UK contexts intersect. The fabric recreates the vertical fading, stains, and bleeding of 1950s denim by scanning large images and reconfiguring them as a print. Combined with the slubs and uneven weaves characteristic of linen, the textile embodies the concept of "Onkochishin" (developing new ideas based on studying the past). This piece, a result of advanced printing technology and artisanal craftsmanship, pursues a balance between realistic appeal and aesthetic sensibility.
