The denim jackets of the 1930s featured flap patch pockets, which was a significant quality improvement given the scarcity of materials at the time. The stitching that secured the pleats on the front body was also reinforced, enhancing its completeness as workwear, and the one-pocket design reached its perfected form. Black lacquer buttons and copper rivets, which were used on lightweight denim at the time, were employed to enhance its restorative properties. Regarding the fabric, an original denim fabric was developed by analyzing denim fabrics from that era. This fabric incorporates a green-cast indigo-dyed warp yarn and an ecru-colored weft yarn, conceived by Takahashi. While maintaining the original color, the yarn count was adjusted and the number of threads per inch increased, giving it a rich texture distinct from standard left-hand twill denim due to its 1/2 right-hand twill weave.
